Tonight Jesus was a bagel

We attended a beautiful and soul renewing communion service at our church tonight. I love communion, always. However, I couldn't help but notice (and be a bit amused) that representing the broken body of Christ tonight was not the humble and bland communion wafer, or even the semi-traditional (for our church, anyway) pita bread, but in fact, a blessed and sanctified bagel.
