8dpiui

Well, the hcg shot has cleared out. I tested today and it was negative, negative, negative.

The hcg shot was 10 days ago, the iui was 8 days ago.

I want to believe that there is still a little hope.

But I don't know.

Breast tenderness is completely gone.

good luck!!

Do you know what day you O'd on? I thought the hcg triggered ovulation within 24 hours. Were you montitored by u/s?

Good luck! I'm 9dpIUI (and 9dpo), which is 10 days past trigger #1 (6,666 UIs of hcg) and 4 days past trigger #2 (3,334UIs of hcg) and I still got a freaking bfp this morning. Ugh! I wanted the trigger to be OUT by the time I started testing! I usually like to test 10dpo and I didn't get a negative this morning, which sucks since I'll have nothing to compare ~if~ I actually get a postive (by some freaking miracle!).

Good luck!!!

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for your comments!

I may have confused the issue by making it seem like my hcg shot and iui were 48 hours apart, but actually, although the hcg shot was 10 days ago, it was at night, and the iui was 8 days ago, but in the morning, so actually the two were timed to be 36 hours apart.

According to my doctor, ovulation happens 24-36 hours after the trigger shot. I have read different things in various places, and it seems like the earliest it could happen would be 12 hours and the latest would be 45 hours. I don't know how it would work with two shots.

I did not have an ultrasound at the time of the iui to confirm ovulation. Is that something people normally do? This was my first...I have no idea. I did have a lot of cramping and tenderness the morning of the iui, which I am hoping means that was when I ovulated and it was well timed.

Hi there!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Good luck--8 days post iui might still be too early--so don't give up hope yet!

Good luck!

too early too early! give it until 12dpo at least before you start to worry. (hahahah sorry I know that's not possible. but it is logical)

Hi,

Your protocol is juts like mine, Trigger about 36 hours before iui. My Re counts the trigger as the O day. I do not get u/s to confirm O. Once you trigger you O. I have no experience with 2 trigger shots. Best of luck to you.
